Show and Tell Dec 2014Meetings:

Our main meeting is held on the first Tuesday of every month (except January) at 7:30 pm in the Philatelic Society Rooms, 67 Mandeville Street. Parking is on the street.

Each meeting we have "Show and Tell", raffles, information about upcoming classes and anything that may be of interest to Quilters. The meetings can be lots of fun. Our extensive Library is available each meeting for members to browse and borrow from. We always have guest speakers or demonstrations of new techniques and equipment at our meetings and quite often there are Sales Tables.

We also have a "work" meeting once a month, see below for details. You may choose to bring your own work or join in a planned activity.

Sit and Sew: held each month bring your own work and make sure you bring everything you need. No charge.

Class times: 9.30am to 3.30pm

Cost: Where a Tutor is being paid to share their knowledge the cost is $30.00

If there is something you wish to learn or teach please contact Heather.

We generally hold the Workshops/Sit and Sew on the 3rd Saturday of the month however this year there are some exceptions: January, July and December have no workshops

We will again be running a Retreat at Rangi Ruru. 2018's dates are 20–22 July, so be sure to mark this event in your Diary.

This year the Retreat will be a whole weekend sit and sew. A time to relax, sew in the company of like-minded people, finish UFOs, work on community quilts and share a laugh. Great opportunity to meet other members. Some arrive at 4pm on Friday and are straight into their UFO pile or next project.

We will start with dinner Friday night. Then relax or back to sewing. The food is wonderful and the accommodation is very comfortable.

For those who want to print the form and complete by hand use the pdf file.

For those who wish to complete the form on the computer use the Word file, save and send to Michelle direct – her email address is on Page 2.

Challenge Competition:

Challenges are issued periodically. These usually involve a particular theme or fabrics etc. They are always fun and a great way for quilters to extend their skills.

This year's challenge hasn't been set as yet.

Last year's challenge was "Gossip Girls". The results can be seen here.

Quilt Show 2013Bi-Annual Show:

Every second year we hold a Quilt Exhibition which runs for four days. Members are encouraged to enter into various categories. There is always a Guest Exhibitor. Full details are advertised in the CQ Newsletter.

Since Symposium is on this year when we would normally have our exhibition our next Show will be 18–22 April 2018. More details to come.
